Mrs. Brandi Gholston

Hi everyone. Many of you know me as Brandi Williams; as it was just some time ago, I walked the halls of Phil Campbell High School as a student. I graduated high school at PC, attended Northwest-Shoals, Athens State University and did graduate work at The University of West Alabama. I live in the East Franklin community now with my Husband; J, our two children; Malachi and Ticelee and of course..... two german shepherds, four cats and two bearded dragons! LOL! I attend Pleasant Hill First Congregational Methodist Church and frequently visit Epic Church in Decatur. Outside of the office, I am heavily engaged in sports activities, church activities and pageants. My hobbies are singing and writing music, sports, following my kids (well carting them around), vacationing, pageants, couponing, cleaning and playing candy crush! A few fun facts about me are; I am terrified of frogs and cows, I love to smell rain on pavement and puppy breath, I'm not a huge outdoors person and I'm OBSESSED with big, wild cats (well all cats, actually) - especially tigers even though I am NOT an auburn fan! (Roll Tide ;).....

As a graduate of PCHS, I can say it's great to be back and to be a part of what's going on in our school. This school year is my first year as a high school counselor and I am loving every minute of it. I have spend the previous years of my career at Tharptown as a resource teacher for middle and high school, classroom teacher for middle and high school and an elementary guidance counselor for grades K-6. I am honored to be in this position. I have a huge burden and passion for education, our schools, guidance and counseling needs and our students. As a guidance counselor and part of a team of educators, I have opportunities to reach out to young people in ways that classroom teachers can't always do. I have chances to assist students in areas of career interests, career exploration, scholarship opportunities, academic tracking and of course as a support for counseling needs and family assistance. I take this position very seriously and consider it a true calling. I have enjoyed every second of my year here and I do not anticipating a change in that joy or passion in years to follow. I am looking forward to being an established part of what's going on at PCHS. I hope to be able to share and spread enthusiasm for education, social development and post-high school education. I have felt so welcomed coming back to Phil Campbell. I work with an exceptional bunch of teachers and staff. I am proud of our students and where they are going. I love building relationships with all of our students and their families! Please do not hesitate to call or email me about any need or concern! Thanks so much for the warm welcome I have felt and thanks so much for trusting me as the guidance counselor at Phil Campbell High School! God Bless You All!
